Hello,

Objectives with build:

SATA III SDD (stable)
2 way (ideally 3 way) SLI
Sub $2200, the less the better. Ideally 1.5-2k range.
Fast enough to handle significant modelling, multiprocessing, live data transfers, and 3 monitor display with relative ease.
The build needs to be stable so no/little OC
No Wi-Fi

Current build:

ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS

Corsair Graphite Series 600T

Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARX 1TB

Acer S201HLbd Black 20" 5ms

EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) FPB 2GB X2

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX)

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM X2 **

ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77**

Intel Core i5-3550 Ivy Bridge 3.3GHz LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637I53550

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler, RR-B10-212P-G1

Crucial 128 GB m4 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s CT128M4SSD2

As far as I can tell that should all do the job. Please let me know otherwise.

I'm trying to order everything through amazon to avoid paying return shipping for newegg if anything is damaged in shipping.

The problem with that is the items with ** are currently unavailable directly from Amazon. Are there any problems/upgrades with the current build, if so what are your recommendations, and do you know any alternatives for the mobo and ram that are available?

Thank you.

you can save some money and go with 500R it has better cooling performance than a 600T and it is just as big

as i can see from what you are saying, this will be more of a workshop build and not a gaming build

for a 1.5-2k build for a work shop i think going with at least 16GB would be better
upgrade 128GB SSD to maybe a 256GB SSD you will fit a lot of your apps inside it

if doing a triple screen i really like XFX triple screen mount looks awesome and is awesome

it fits 3x24" screens

if going with 550TI Newegg has a better deal save $40 extra i think that deserves some extra work if you want to ship it back

other than that it is a great build but i would rather get something higher for GPU but thats mostly because i like to game

G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-1600C10D-16GAO
really nice DIMMs gives you the option to upgrade to 32GB of ram in the future. saw the same one on amazon and wow its overpriced compared to the ones on newegg. if you don't think $30 difference isn't worth it then go for the one on amazon

Mobo:GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
this a very good mobo with the option of 3-way SLI i think it should have better reviews than it should have as it is really good

Combo this board with a 256GB SSD and get $30 off

NOTE:sorry for choosing stuff at newegg it is just easier to find things and they have a lot better deals than amazon i really think you should move the whole build to newegg to save the trouble of shipping to 2 different places

most of those people don't even know how to bios update they just put up their tech level on high

just think of them as stupid people that don't know what they are saying like if you look at ASrock extreme4 it is a very great board but some stupid people don't even know how to update the bios and just put in bad reviews

if you really want something with "good" reviews on newegg then this will do the job for $20 more
