[Build] First Gaming Build

Hey guys,

My first time trying to build a computer. Here is my build after long hours of research;

Graphics Card: ASUS Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card
Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GTS Mid
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
PSU: Antec TruePower TP-750
CPU: i5-2500K
Motherboard: ASRock Extreme4 Z77
Monitor: VS248H

One of my question is with the PSU; I know a 650W is enough for this build but;

1) Do you guys think the 750 will be more of a future proof PSU?

2) Do I need a CPU cooler if I plan to overclock or will it work fine without it?

3) Do you guys have any suggestion on what I should change/modify.

Thanks,

Newua

P.S. Amateur trying to build a PC for the first time.

  4. @gamerkila57, you are recommending a 850W for a single HD7850? If it was physically possible, a 850W can run 4 HD7850's.

    A decent 400W can run a HD7850. Get a 500W for headroom and 600W for CF. I'd recommend the PC P&C Silencer Mk III 500W going for around $65.

    Get a 3570k for almost the same price and a CM Hyper 212 Evo.
