Power supply help

iam tryin hard to find out what kind of psu my pc needs these are the parts
ASUS RAMPAGE IV EXTREME X79 Motherboard + Intel Core i7 3930K Six Core CPU - Corsair 16GB DDR3 1600MHz Quad Channel Gaming RAM + Corsair H100 Extreme Liquid Cooling [ + GAINWARD Phantom GeForce GTX 670 OVERCLOCKED 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

will a corsair a850 modular psu work fine

If you are not going to SLI 2x you card, then a 850W is a overkill -- a GTX 670 needs only 500W.

That's the absolute bare minimum. You're gonna want to account for the rest of the build as well as power surges.

For a build such as that, you may as well compliment it with a quality power supply.

A good quality 500W PSU is more than sufficient for your planned build. If the OP is into serious overclocking, then a bit more than 500W is recommended.

If in the top of an overclock the OP wants to SLI 2x, then the 850W PSU that has been mentioned will work fine.
