You need a business use computer for Starcraft 2 ?

.......

Usage: So your going to winx/linux this machine to host 3 workstations off a central PC I take it? What applications are you running? List them don't just say "Stuff like that"

Here is why..

CPU: i7 3770K - you want a i 7 to run a Quickbook app that a 10yr old pent 4 processor can run? I'm going to guess Starcraft is for you and not the business here. The Requirements is 2.0/2.4 single core cpu.

Aftermarket CPU cooler - really? are you over clocking that top of the line cpu? Unless the words video editing or compiling are used this seems like a complete waste so far.

G.Skill - so you buy the most expensive CPU and the cheapest ram.. Research the timing for RAM and buy fast ram.. don't base it off of mzh/total. Again have you looked at the requirements for quickbooks? 1GB 2GB for multi users, vs your 4gb per user.

HD/SSD - There read speads are great, there write speeds are crap. Lot of money wasted here if you don't plan ahead. Business means you need a fail safe.
Do you really need 1TB? i've built pc's for accounting purposes quickbooks is not that god awful unless your working for a 8000+employee company which normally use a customer application instead anyway. Make sure you have plenty of room, but don't overkill it. You need to look into a external drive or raid so that you can back up your data. a couple good 7200rpm drives would prob suit you just fine.

PSU - get a good brand here like Antec to make sure you have a reliable PSU. Remember when a Business PC goes down their is a Dollar amount on every minute it's down. Also 600w for a non gaming machine is over kill again

you could prob rebuild this for around $700 or less, but again we need to know exactly what applications/hosting your going to do.

Edit:

Parts needed: SSD, I7 3770K, Sick Lighted up case that is cheap like the Azza Spartan,

I saw this and just realized you can't be serious...

I dismissed the post when I got there, too. Wish he would have stuck that at the top so I could have stopped reading sooner.

What??
May 16, 2012 5:06:36 PM

Couple quick questions here. Why do you not want a graphics card?

Are you ok with this machine being overkill? It basically has a level of processing that you will never achieve even with 3 workstations. A hotel should be barely using these.

May 16, 2012 5:31:32 PM

Yeah. I would like it overkill because then if I ever have to run something that is very hard on my computer then I an run it. And my computer will be like really fast right. Thanks for your help. What's the difference between the seagate constellation Es drive compared Tina regular seagate 7200 rpm drive. Thanks

I don't need a graphics because the intel built in one is good enough. And I don't play many games
