Anyone know of some kind of SIMM check or utilities I can download to test my memory? I suspect that I have a bad board and would like to verify. Thanks.

Hmm... you could download SiSoft's Sandra 2001 and do a memory benchmark- if it doesn't make it thru the benchmark then the memory is likely bad. I used to have some SIMM testers... it was a board with simm slots on it and all you did was stick SIMMs in the slots and press a button. It would tell you if they were good or bad with a red or green light- they're ancient. I sold them though. (they were for 30pin simms).

You can download GoldMemory Test. (Sorry, I don't have a link. I will update when if I find it). You will need a DOS boot disk or just boot to DOS. No need for a DOS memory management program but if you motherboard supports it, turn off the 15-16mb memory hole. Otherwise GoldMemory Test will only "see" 16mb of RAM.
