My stock 3570k is hitting 72c after just a few min in Prime95 with a h100. I have a 600t case and asus p8z77 v-pro motherboard. Idle temps are mid to high 30's. Is that ok? And will I be able to overclock later? Im not sure about my ambient tmeps

For stock temps they are ok but IMO should be a little lower with water cooling. Under load though 72 degree's is pretty high. I would check everything. Check the pump and the whole water cooling system. Also I would pull off the waterblock and re-apply thermal paste. You only need a small dot about the size of a grain of rice (5.0-5.5mm's.)

I have the same CPU and water cooling unit. Idle temps in the high 30's @stock is kinda wierd. I'm at 3.75v and get high 20's, low 30's idle, with 50s-60s while running Guild Wars 2. In prime blend I would hit like 80-85 at 100% load, and remember this is all with the 3.75v.

Something must be wrong, because I am getting lower temps with a higher voltage. Maybe its the case? I have an NZXT Switch 810 with 11 fans total. Are you running push/pull with your H100?

Im just using it in pull. Push/pull didnt fit.

Your temperatures are find but before I would try to overclock the processor I would try to put some new thermal paste on and see if I drive the temperatures down to around 30c idle. I have almost the same set up and I have a temperatures around 30c.
