Whenever I open an icon in my laptop it automatically shows preparing to recycle

whenever I open an icon in my laptop it automatically shows "preparing to recycle" from discovering items in win7 & delete this short cut message window opens up. After several minutes it would stop. I cannot close this popup window. Please help. Sounds like a virus but I could be wrong, reboot in safe mood and do a system restore to the end of last month. See if that solves it.

Its a virus.... run MALWAREBYTES in safe mode...

Sounds like a virus but I could be wrong, reboot in safe mood and do a system restore to the end of last month. See if that solves it.

If u have infected PC, do not restore anything, it will restore the virus as well!
