Is this faulty monitor safe to use on my laptop?

So I have a monitor I used to use with my desktop that is faulty in a way that makes certain things green and fuzzy. I know it's the monitors fault, I replaced the GPU, and the cable, and tried a bunch of different kinds of adapters until I got a new monitor that fixed it. Anyway, the monitor isn't completly useless yet so I'd like to use it on my laptop some times but I'm afraid it might burn out the vga port or something on my laptop. Any thoughts?

By and large, monitors are receive only, and if there's an issue with the display panel on the monitor, that won't have any impact on the hardware of the computer. If the monitor were damaged in such a way it would cause harm to the computer, it would probably have damaged the last computer you had it connected to.
