I have an Acer AM3450, and just wanted some advice on how you guys would upgrade it to a halfway decent gaming platform, because right now it is garbage. Thanks!

Specs:

Integrated Radeon 4250
300W power supply
AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 3.6GHz
6GB DDR3
1TB HDD

Also I have a 1920x1080 24" montor, 1080p. That might be useful.

Quality power supply and a better graphics card. What to get depends on how much you want to spend.

I'd be willing to put in 300$ towards upgrades, 400$ at most, what would you suggest?

Assuming that this is your CPU

I'd probably recommend

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650

and either

Sapphire Radeon HD6870
or
ASUS ENGTX560 TI
