Hello Tom's Hardware community, I've got 2 problems, and I hope you can help me.
I have the Segotep SG 960d Black case and the power led needs to be plugged into a molex connector from the PSU. I connected it and it actually worked, but unfortunately it worked only a few days. Now it doesn't light up. Could it be dead? Can I fix it somehow?
My second problem is the phenom stock cooler... It's very loud under load and I was wondering if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo will fit my case. If not, can you guys recommend other coolers from Hyper 212's price range?
My System:
Amd Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
MSI 870S-C45 MOBO
Saphire Radeon HD 6770 1GB DDR5
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB
4 GB RAM GEIL(2x2GB)
Spire Black Eagle 550W
Asus DVD rw
Segotep Sg 960d black Case

The Evo needs 159mm to fit in properly and your case has 190mm of clearance. It looks like it will fit on paper but I would double check since the case specs don't include the fact that you have the stand-offs and motherboard.

You might try this part

Scythe Big Shuriken SCBSK-1000

or something like it, if you can find it somewhere.

Do you intend to OC this processor or do you just need something more quiet than the stock fan?

Not sure about the crazy power LED on there. If it doesn't work in a different molex (likely) its probably gone. I would doubt that it is fixable. That being said, its all just guesswork since I can't examine the parts myself and I haven't ever examined this case myself.

No I won't overclock my CPU, I just need something more quiet than the stock fan but good enaugh to keep the same temps as the stock cooler:
Idle-33c(ambiental temp 26c)
Under Load-55-57(ambiental temp 26c)
But under load the stock cooler can go up to 7000 RPM so it's very noisy.

Look into that type I mentioned.

Ehh... That Scythe has a quite low CFM, only 38 -.-'
The CM Hyper 212 EVO has 66...
Maybe if I punch the case's side door to make room for the Hyper 212?
I don't want to spend money on a new case so I need any solution to make room for the Hyper 212 evo.

It doesn't really matter if the Hyper 212 is 66 and the Scythe is 38.

If you aren't OCing then 38 is more than you need anyway.
