Is my PC ready for a 6950

I am planning to buy a new 6950 of 2GB but I dont know if I can run it on my pc.
My specs are:
ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AMD 970 & SB950 ATX DDR3 800 AMD - AM3+ Motherboard
Cooler Master RS550-PCARE3-US​ eXtreme Power Plus Series 550W ATX12V V2.3 Active PFC Power Supply
NZXT Source 210

  1. The 6950 wants a 500w psu to be in the computer so you have a 550w and hopefully it's a good enough one although CoolerMaster is not a top quality brand but if it has enough amps the card should work.
    What do you have for a cpu?
  2. AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black AM3 3.4Ghz with a Corsair Hydro-Series H60, is it ok?
  3. the extreme power plus series are horrible. Yours will burn if you try and pull what its rated for. I would absolutely not use one.
