Hello, all. I recently made a new computer and since I was a bit strapped for cash went with the 7770HD. I've got some more cash now, and I'm wonderin if I should switch to a GTX580. Also, since Ive got a 600W PSU, should i get a new one If I do get a 580?

Its mostly burning a hole in my pocket, but its also because im worried that the 7770 wont run (maxed) the games im aiming on playing this year (firefall, TERA, Mechwarrior Online, and Planetside 2).

OH and im running a 4100 CPU and 8gb RAM.

MB: Asus M5A97 AMD 970

CPU: AMD FX 4100 4x 3.60Ghz

RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600

PSU: 600W (unsure of make/model, I know it has 2 12V 18A slots though)

CASE: NXRT ALPHA (mid-tower)

I'm also thinking of going for a 6790 OR buying a 2nd 7770 and going Crossfire, as opposed to the GTX 580

I thinking a 580 is too much GPU for your system. your PSU would need upgraded. CFing the 7770 would be feasible, they don't need a lot of power.

you could also look at the HD 7850 or 7870 they are good single cards and wouldn't require a psu change.

I think at some point your CPU will become a limiting factor, maybe not though.
