shows 79FPS at 1080p, but only at low details. kicking into high details shouldn't impact it enough to drop below 40FPS.

I would get this GPU instead. it is more powerful, less heat, noise and power consumption for the same price. it's OC'd so look at the OC benchmark on the XFX card for comparison.
