Does 120hz work properly in the uk?

Sorry if this is not in the right forum, I wasnt sure where to post it.
Its just LG are informing me that my 120hz monitor will not work in the uk
as nothing here refreshes at that rate

just hook it up to your pc with dl-dvi or dp and you're set...

I would imagine that the person you got hold of might be an idiot. Assuming your connecting it to your pc then it should be perfectly fine so far as I know. And if youre going to be connecting another source then I still wouldnt worry, on that logic my 50hz super nintendo shouldnt work on my 60hz tv, but it does :)

I heard it from LG, the manufacturers of the 120hz monitor that I bought from them that seems to not be working properly.
I have a dl dvi-d cable connecting it and it appears to not be working properly

I hope this is not the case because I bought it from a dealer that does not allow returns. I have managed to get it to run 120hz before but now it is just playing up!

I forgot to mention, when I set it to full hd @ 120hz, the monitors settings recognize it as 960x1080 even though it is set as 1920x1080
!
