No signal to monitor

Hello, I recently built my first PC and ran into some big trouble. I breadboarded my system and everything came out okay. So then i started installing all my parts into the case. After I installed everything, I switched on the PSU and booted up my system. Everything ran great, All the fans ran, led lights were on and I got one short beep. I then turned my Power off and connected an HDMI cable to the Mobo HDMI slot and then to my monitor. I booted up my system again, except I got no signal on my monitor. I did the same with my VGA cable and once again, no signal to my monitor. Would could be the problem? Thanks. This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8eyR. Ram is only one 4gb stick not 2 2gb.

The link doesn't show any build ? Did you get a video card ? When you booted up with the monitor cable connected did you get a post beep ?

Sorry, fixed in OP. Yes I have a video card, but I plugged the cables into the mobo slots, not video card slots. I still got the one short post beep with the monitor cables connected.
