7.6 WEI?

I know windows experience index doesnt mean that much but i have a 3570K @4.2 and 16gb of corsair vengeance RAM and scores for both are only at 7.6 and everything else is maxxed out to 7.9 i feel like those should be 7.9 as well. Any feedback on why this is?

Thank you in advance!!

  1. You said it yourself, WEI score doesn't mean anything.

I think the reason it won't max your score is the core count. I think WEI only maxes if you have 4 cores/8 threads or more. I could be wrong though.
  2. wei sucks. dont give a ***:P
  3. A 7.9 CPU score is almost impossible to accomplish, so don't even worry about that (seriously, even a pretty highly overclocked 3960x can't do it). For what it's worth, my 2500K is a 7.7 @ 4.5.

As far as the RAM goes, I'm not sure. You didn't mention speed, but my 8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600 kit scores a 7.8.

But you're right, WEI is pretty much the most pointless thing to have ever been created. If your performance in general is fine, there's no need to even worry about it.
  4. You could edit the WEI file to give you a 7.9 on everything.

    All the best Brett :)
  6. My 2600k @ 4Ghz is only 7.7

the elusive 7.9 WEI cpu score is saved for server cpus with 16+ cores.

    memory score needs fast memory.

    my system is 7.8 cpu, 7.9 the rest. 8gb ddr3 2133 9-11-10 .
  8. WEI just to know how much difference score GPU / CPU / RAM / HDD score is not important and what is important is where the hardware is the smallest score?, The largest source of the bottleneck is HDD ..
  9. It was Microsoft trolling Intel.
  10. 7.8 cpu with an i7-3770k @ 4.4 and
    7.8 ram with 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600 8-8-8-24
    Everything else is 7.9
  11. everything same and not too far score is good and balance .. just it :D
  12. You said it yourself; WEI is stupid and doesn't mean anything. When someone is concerned about performance of their computer as a whole I recommend using a good benchmarking software program.

Exactly. And again if you really want a 7.9 score, just edit the WEI file to get 7.9. :D

My hdd score was 5.9 the first time i ran the WEI but somehow my 100mb system reserve got installed on my slow ass WD green and i think that is why it gave me a 5.9 score but now the 100mb system is on my SSD and my score is a 7.9 so i dunno if that is what did it but.

I use AIDA64 for my system monitoring and stress tests. And unigine for GPU but I dont really know what a good CPU benchmark program that is out there? any suggestions?

i said in above The largest source of the bottleneck is HDD :D , if you want more real performance balance with other hardware yeachh use SSD, and you proof it with compare HDD vs SSD .. no problem SSD 100GB/250 GB still faster than HDD green/Black/blue 10.000RPM
