$1,200 Gaming PC

Alright, so I'm saving up for a few months so that I can build a decent gaming PC.
I've already selected a few parts, but if you think I could get a better deal feel free to say so.

CPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504
CPU Cooler: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103089
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293
RAM: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489
GPU: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150609
Case: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119245
Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289

The $1,200 doesn't have to cover the cost of a keyboard and mouse.
Those can wait until after I actually have the PC built.
I also have a 23" Asus monitor already, so I don't need another one right away.

More about gaming
  1. Quick change, I'm getting the Corsair Graphite 600T instead of the CM Storm Trooper.
  2. my only advice get a GTX670 , others are perfect :)
  3. change 600T to 500R

500R has better Cooling and if you want to get a better fan control than it already has you can buy one with the 500R

600T already has a better fan control than 500R other than that it is the same thing pretty much. get 600T if you are to lazy to add on the extra time to put inside a better fan control on the 500R if you need it anyways

missing some parts on it like an HDD/SSD and a PSU

you can combo the MOBO and CPU and get something for just $10 more that has a fan control and a simple wifi

    CASE/HDD: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.939279
    500R with 1TB

this burner cost less and will still do the same job as what you posted

for gaming i doubt you will need 16GB of ram even 8GB is sometimes to much but its price is pretty low now so go with these and save some

    or
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233196
these look pretty nice with the mobo and will fit under a heatsink

heatsink fan: i believe every build should have one if you are overclocking or if you are not. it makes the build more overall quiet and gives better temperatures for the CPU
    http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

with any extra money i would spend more on GPU if you are a hardcore gamer or doing any intensive graphical games
    or
buy an SSD for a nice performance boost

I'm not changing the case, I'm either getting the CM Storm Trooper or the Graphite 600T from Corsair. I want 16GB of RAM because I do a lot of streaming, video editing, rendering, etc. I'm overclocking the 3570K to 4.2GHz. And the reason I'm not getting a 670 is because I just can't afford it at the moment. I'm looking for my own place, trying to get out of my dad's basement... Maybe I'll buy myself a 680 for my birthday or Christmas, my birthday is also in December.
