i've had my build for about 2 months now
lately (for about a week or so) my computer's been shutting down and a BIOS would show up saying
power supply unit surges were detected on the last power on, ASUS antisurge technology triggered to stop damage... something like that.
now i have an OCZ fatil1ty 750W psu and i know it's a good psu because it's by ocz and because i've seen reviews on the interenet...
do i have to buy a new psu or would it be the "antisurge technology" that's being a pain?

specs: i5-3570k @ 3.4 G.Hz processor
Nvidia GTX 550 ti
Vengeance 8 Gb ddr3 memory (RAM)
7 fans ( 2-140mm, 4-120mm, 1-90mm)
coolermaster V8 processor cooler
Hp Cd/Dvd ROM
Asus P8z77V lx Motherboard

please help, i don't want to buy a new PSU if i don't need to.

Try running hwmonitor and whatever program(s) you think triggers, the surges and watch your voltages. Depending on the the perimeters that trigger the shut down, you may be able to see the voltage spike before hand.
