Hi Guys,

My current rig is:

Asus P5kc motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4ghz
4GB OCZ 800mhz DDR2 Ram
Corsair 650w PSU
Nvidia GTS 450 OC 1GB GFX Card

I know my motherboard is out of date and has the lack of support of ddr3 and new gen CPU's so I will have to upgrade sometime soon, SO I was thinking of just upgrading my MOBO, RAM and CPU.

Currently I'm thinking of getting a AMD FX 4170 (Due to good price and high benchmarks) and Asus M5A78L-M USB 3.0 Motherboard with ddr3 RAM.

Question: Would this upgrade be good enough. I only use my PC for multitasking/graphic design/browsing etc and MAYBE Gaming in the future.
Is this too much of a leap or could I tone down the upgrade or is it ok?

Need advice guys! Thanks!! :)

Actually.. thanks for that link. by the looks of it, the 4100 doesn't have much of a difference other than slightly higher core frequency.
BUT, cpu benchmark does score the 4170 slightly higher than the 4100 ... hmmm...

4170 is better for multitasking overheating u got stock cooler same as fx 4100 have but it will idle at full load
