Skyrim: low CPU usage

Hello,

I am playing Skyrim with a minimum amount of 60 fps though there is a problem.
I think that the GPU is taking all the work on itself, because the CPU usage is ony around 4 per cent and the game itself only uses around 550.000 KB.
Wich makes my GPU do all the work and makes it reach a temperature of 82c.
Is there any way to balance Skyrim?

Thank you

It would help if we knew what hardware you are using. Skyrim is very CPU dependent just by default.

How does your 550ti get that high of a temp? :heink:  Bad case airflow? Anyways, if you are getting 60fps all the time, I would just leave it.

Mhh, the case seems to have enough ''holes'' and what is anoying me is when it reached these kind of temperatures the fan starts to make much noise.
So I think that my GPU is doing all the work, while the CPU is not doing anything   .
Is there some how way to fix this?

If you are getting 60 FPS with the system you listed you are fine.

Does you case have intake and exhaust fans? A front intake for cool air and a rear exhaust for hot air would lower your temps if you don't have them.

are you watching the cpu usage as you play? gpu taking all the work doesn't even make sense, the gpus job is to render graphics so anything else is cpu bond and skyrim is cpu intensive.

also whats the game setting and resolution your running at?

Yes, I open the the task manager and watch at the CPU usage that is around 6 per cent.
Also the game only takes around 900.000 kB.
And my settings are:
Textures: high
Decal quantity: medium
Shadows: low
Object detail: high
And the ''fade settings'' are set to high
