Hello,
I have been trying to connect windows7 pc to windows 2008 domain.
My ip settings in the domain container are:
I gave the ip address of the domain pc to the dns ip of the client.
Other settings are perfect.
But I couldn’t succeed to join the domain.
For XP and vista pcs, I can be able to join the domain using similar settings like above.
But why not windows 7? I have right clicked my computer, chose properties, clicked change settings, network id, 3 times next, gave appropriate log on user account info on the domain, computer name and domain name.
It is still giving me an error stating that I have given wrong domain name. but it worked for xp and vista pcs.
