i thinkin of buyin one fo these two cards:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

by the way, this upgrades for playing swtor, so i would like to know you guys' opinion on which card would be better.
i have an average understanding of graphic cards, but i see one having higher core clock, etc, so i have my doubts.
One more thing, the amd card requires 500w and my psu only has 430, heres the link
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

but ive been told that what matters is the 12v rail and mines has 12v+ 28amps which is 336, wouldnt that be enough to run
the 6850? thank you for your time.

More about : amd nvidia guys

They're both about the same, so it's a matter of preference really.

Either one:

As far as amps?

6850 = 6pin + PCIe so 75 * 2 = 150w / 12v = 12.5amps

GTX 460= 6pin + 6pin + PCIe = 75 * 3 = 225w / 12v = 18.75amps

Formula for watts~

Voltage * amps = watts
