I was planning to build a rig during November but i found out about ivy bridge and Kepler so is this rig OK and do you guys have any advice to improve it...
I have to build my rig from scratch so keyboards, mouses, speakers is included in the budget:(

CPU - INTEL CORE I7 3770K
MOBO - ASUS P8Z77 V DELUXE
GPU - EVGA GTX 670
RAM - CORSAIR XMS3 8GB (2X4) 1600 Mhz
PSU - CORSAIR HX750
CASE - COOLERMASTER STORM ENFORCER
CPU COOLER - CORSAIR H100
MONITOR - SAMSUNG S22B150N 21.5'' LED DISPLAY
HDD - WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB
BLU RAY BURNER - LITE-ON IHBS112
KEYBOARD MOUSE - LOGITECH MK710
SPEAKERS - LOGITECH LS21
CARD READER - ANY USB 2.0 CARD READER

My budget is 1900$ and i don't have any more than that...

I DO NOT want an ssd because the prices are too high for the capacity so ill upgrade to a 512gb or 480gb ssd when prices come way down

i will overclock my CPU to about 4 to 4.5 GHz but no overclocking will be done on ram or gpu

will the hx750 be able to handle the gtx 670 in sli? It is a silver rated psu so hope it can take it

the h100 is perfect for the enforcer because the enforcer has an open place at the top for a 240mm radiator

ill will be gaming, doing video and photo editing and browsing the internet

I would appreciate it if you guys help me here :)

Add a couple of fans for "Push/Pull" configuration on the H100...there's no reason not to fill up the controller on the cpu heat exchanger...there's 4 fan slots to plug into and why not.

Also..for getting your money's worth these two cases by coolermaster also fit the budget but provide for SUPERIOR air flow...both can mount your H100...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The Haf 922 swap the top fan to the side window fan mount and mount radiator on top
OR
The CM690II mount the radiator in the Bottom of case.
One is $10 cheaper...the other is $10 cheaper through the rebate...both are EXCELLENT for airflow which you NEED since you will be overclocking.

Just suggestions for a Lot more cooling vs your budget...there's a bit more room in either for you video cards length and top hdd sata dock on the CM690 II.

I prefer airflow over everything else...but for the money might as well get the most bang for your buck.

Cases are a personal preference so go with what makes you feel the best...but those two EXCEL at air movement and both mount your radiator as well.

Good luck my friend and enjoy building your rig.

^^ i considered the haf 922 but it didn't have and front USB 3.0 ports which will be handy in the future, even the 690 ii doesn't have front USB 3. i like the enforcers aggressive look. wont too many fans make the computer noisy?

What the CM Enforcer lacks and it's a big one, is a side cooling fan. It doesn't have great thermals.

^^ Thanks for showing me the haf xm but it doesnt fit under my desk :(  , unfortutately its too long and sticks 4 inches away from my desk which could be a serious obstruction, so if you find any case at around the same size let me know...

Is asrock a good brand, including service and warranty and how reliable are those boards? i would choose the professional over extreme6 as there is a better i/o, same reason why i chose p8z77 v deluxe - 6 usb 3,4 usb 2, esata, its pretty impressing. would you choose the tpc 812 over the h100?

That 750w Corsair will push dual 670's with ease and leave you juice left over.

That Asrock board is solid and has gotten great reviews. Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI are the four big players go as far as board manufacturers. That Cooler Master h/s runs on par with the H100 and has the benefit of being quieter than the H100.

Here's a case that has side cooling and might fit under your desk.

I want a quiet pc so more fans = more noise, right? im not going to overclock the gpu so is a side fan really needed? i chose the h100 as the 2 120mm fans can work as an exhaust and to cool the cpu. evga's cards exhaust hot air out the back, unlike other non reference. asus's WiFi go technology is pretty awesome, i need a wireless card as my comp will be a good 20 feet away from the router and the router is in another room and Bluetooth would be handy... so an asrock board for 230$ and 40$ for Bluetooth and a dual band wireless card comes to 270 which is as expensive as the deluxe. i liked the 500r because it has USB 3 and 200mm side fan to cool the gpu's but is 50$ more. the tps 812 looks like a big cooler and with 2 fans would there be enough romm for the ram?

The 500R is a great case that comes with a multi channel fan controller and has that 200mm side fan (large fan = slow RPM = quiet).

The Asrock boards shouldn't run $230. I stuck them in a combo with the cpu, otherwise their under $200. I know the Asus -V, Asus Pro, and Asus Delux all come with wifi and blue tooth.

Check Frosty Tech for the decibel levels on any and all cpu heat sinks. That's part of each and every review they do.

Hey, good news, i was able to chip in and extra 100$ so i made a few changes

CASE - COOLER MASTER STORM SNIPER
MOTHERBOARD - GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB
COOLER - COOLER MASTER TPC 812
CARD READER - AFT PRO-57U
FANS - COOLER MASTER SIKLEFLOW R4 BLUE, COOLER MASTER MEGAFLOW BLUE

I liked the look of the sniper but there was no front usb 3 ports :(  but luckily the ud5 comes with a usb 3.0 front panel box, so that was fixed.

The ud5 has more features than the deluxe and at a much lower price.

I chose the tpc 812 as it performs just as good a h100 at a lower price.

Beacause the ud5 has 3 INTERNAL USB HEADERS, I could use the one for the front panel and one for a usb 3.0 card reader.

I will add a 200mm megaflow to the side of the case, replace all 120mm fans with the quieter r4.

Im now left with 50$ - should i make the ran 16gb or buy the gtx 670 ftw version?

If this is primarily for gaming then stick with 8GB of RAM. Combo that Gigabyte board with the cpu to save a few dollars.

The 670 is an excellent card and seeing how your going to be doing video editing it free's up some money for 16GB of RAM.

i found some other heat sinks which are cheaper than the tpc 812

COOLER MASTER V8
COOLER MASTER V6 GT
COOLER MASTER Hyper 612 PWM
EVGA Superclock

these coolers are 15-20$ cheaper than tpc 812, can any one of these coolers beat it

I realise you say you don't want one right there but I seriously suggest that you get one. A 64Gb SSD will easily act as a boot drive and the performance gain is significant. A 64Gb will only run you about $80 as well.

I linked you to the review on the Frosty Tech site which is the main site for cpu heat sinks just like johnny guru is the main site for power supply reviews. On the frosty tech site they have a chart for all cpu coolers including a top five list. So obviously none of those coolers you listed is going to give you lower temps than the tpc 812. The CM V8 is junk. The CM V6 is a little bit better than the V8. If it's a money issue then go for the CM hyper 612 which is better than the V8 and V6. The best way to o/c these IB cpu's is to push them up to 4.2 - 4.4Ghz so you don't have to give it any extra voltage. Just like the Sandy Bridge cpu's, anything past 4.5Ghz is going to result in a big nothing in regards to FPS in games.

Money is not an issue, ill stick with the tpc 812 :)

Would you choose the storm sniper or the corsair 500r?

The tpc cooler is big and im going to make it into a push pull config.
will it block any ram sticks? the xms 3 is low profile so i hope it wouldn't cause problems.

are the coolermaster r4 sikleflow any quieter or move more air than the stock cm case fans?

can you suggest a wired keyboard and mouse for under 100$, the mk710 is wireless and may cause lag while playing games :(

For those two cases it's a toss up. Both are great cases. It's like you could flip a coin and not go wrong with either choice.

You don't want that Corsair XMS RAM. It's old school high voltage RAM and it's not recommended for these 1155 boards.

Good call in the wired keyboard and mouse. Too many peeps on here go for the wireless and kick themselves later on. I use a cheap $15 logitech keyboard to game with...force of habit... but this one down below is recommended on here a lot.

EVGA has now discontinued the gtx 670 sc so the gtx 670 ftw is only 420$ :) ...

Now do you think its a right choice to buy the ftw over reference?

There are solid caps and has a much quieter fan than reference gtx 670...

also the power connectors are at the end of the board so the wiring will look cleaner
