Will this work / be decent on a budget

Hi, this is my first time building a pc and i am looking for some advice / want to know if the system will work
i already have the case - a CIT vantage, optical drive - Samsung SH-222AB, graphics card - zotac geforce gtx285
i am looking at putting a Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 motherboard in with either an i5 2500k or 3570k overclocked with a aftermarket heat sink
a seagate 1TB SATA 3 ST1000DM003 harddrive and 8gb or ddr3 (1600) Ram, and am yet unsure as to what PSU to get i was thinking a corsair 650
any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
