Not overclocking at all then go with the 3450 if it is for gaming build.

I'd say go for an AMD Phenom II X4.

Much cheaper, and is only a lil' slower.

if im to overclock than wat wud be a gud cooler. also why is the fx cpus getting bad reviews and being outperformed by even 2nd gen i5s in most games if they have 8 cores

why? because Intel have been dominating the mainstream CPU segment for being top in vid editing, etc,

AMD is only famous because it offers customers budget CPU that can do gaming, vid editing, etc...it is powerful, but less powerful than Intel chips.

AMD : budget segment
Intel : uhh..mainstream performer segment
