More about first time building last check
  1. For my Optical drive, should I get the burner or drive
  2. Burner is the same as drive. Drop the case fans bar one for the Hyper 212 EVO. That case already has great cooling.
  3. Hyper 212 EVO is for CPU
  4. And what do you think is attached to the heatsink? A fan is. 2 fans on the EVO will allow for cooler CPU temps.
  5. okie dokie
  6. anything else??

There's very little difference in price for a DVD Burner and just a plain DVD Drive.
Might as well go for the burner in case you do need to burn a DVD at some point.

Other than that, very nice build.
  8. Yeah, no need for those 4 fans. The 500r has great cooling and has a 3 way switch to control all the fan speeds already. There is really no need for 16GB unless your doing a lot of movie editing. You also might want to consider low profile RAM to make sure your 212 EVO will fit properly.
