This will be my first PC build so i am not sure if everything is compatible with the motherboard. i am able to spend 2500$ tops so if there is something better please let me know. (i am not sure about the psu. if you can tell me how much i need that would be great. i am a gamer/video editor so i need the ram.) and is the sound card worth the 170$ with the i7-2600k be woth it?

Sound card is fine, but change the CPU to a 2500k as it is the same thing for cheaper. Change PSU to a XFX unit.
