Will this gaming pc build work??

Graphics Card: EVGA 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked Video Card

Sound Card: ASUS Xonar Essence STX Sound card

Hard Drives: OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-120G Agility 3 Series Solid State Drive
Seagate ST1000DM003 Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive

Optical Drive: Asus BW-12D1S-U/BLK/G/AS 12x Blu-Ray Burner

Case: Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case - Steel, ATX, 4x 120mm Fan Ports, 3x 140mm Fans

PSU: Thermaltake TPG-1200M ToughPower Grand Power Supply



This will be my first PC build so i am not sure if everything is compatible with the motherboard. i am able to spend 2500$ tops so if there is something better please let me know. (i am not sure about the psu. if you can tell me how much i need that would be great. i am a gamer/video editor so i need the ram.)
and is the sound card worth the 170$
with the i7-2600k be woth it?

Sound card is fine, but change the CPU to a 2500k as it is the same thing for cheaper. Change PSU to a XFX unit.
