COmputer Crash No Display.

Hi, I was playing Dead Island when out of no where my pc froze up, a few seconds later the screen went blank and th light on my moniter turned from green to orange. I could not do anything so i shut the Computer down by the button. Now when i turn on my pc the graphics card fan spins muc much faster than normal and i get no display. if i plug the moniter into the intergrated vga port it all works fine.

I have not had to graphics card long ( under a year).

Can anyone help me with this?

You could try removing the drivers and card and unpluging the Pc and taking out the card from the slot. Then put it all back with installing the card from the cd and then updating the drivers. If that doesn't work then as I sais before you may have a defective card and since it's been under a year you should be able to do a RMA with the manufacturer.

If you have the card in your hands and all you can see on the card is Gforce then you must have a prebuilt computer that somebody is just using generic parts. There should be a serial number on there somewhere or part number. If you find the serial number or part number then you can Google it.

I just realised i didnt plug the power into the 7900 so i shut down and plugged power in and powered on and it ha a very slow startup after i put my password in to log onto my user it took a long time and when it loaded the icons also took a very long time to load.
