DVI to HDMI

I'm currently running DVI to VGA at 1366x768 and I was wondering if getting a DVI to HDMI would offer a higher resolution such as 1080p. Yes, my graphics supports it I have a GTS 450.

With the DVI to VGA it's 1366x768. But I'm using a 1080p HDTV.

if this is the max your monitor could support then it wont go higher

Which max? I'm looking to go 1080p, not worried about going higher than that since it wouldn't look right.

do you have a ati card if yes then go under hdtv under flat screen and you will find if your monitor could support the 1080p

Eh, already ordered a DVI to HDMI, I guess I'll see if there's a difference soon. But thanks anyways.
