I have a fairly good pc I would say, but in games (even world of warcraft) I somtimes dip lower than 30 fps for some reason.
Here's my build:
Amd fx 8120 (oced to 3.6 ghz so I guess you could call it an 8150)
8 gb of ddr3 RAM 1600mhz
Geforce gt 545 ddr3 edition 1.5 gb
Physx processor geforce gt 9500 512 mb
Mobo gigabyte 990 fxa-ud3
Standard dvd Ew drive
Ocz agility 3 120gb boot drive
500 gb wd caviar green steam drive
160gb drive for gta, wow, bf3
But for some reason I can barely run wow maxed out but I have to turn down ground detail and somthing else so i can get ave 40 fps
Bf3 all low ave 50-60 fps min 30ish
Gta all low dept for details those are around 80 and 70
Any reason my system is performing like crap?

More about : crappy performance

Im not an Amd fan, but i've heard nothing but bad things about the FX 8120 for gaming. Also you'd prob be better off without the physx card.

Eh I've tried it without the Physx car and with it not much of a performance change but also then again I don't even have a game installed that supports Physx

CPU is weak for gaming but your main problem is a GT545. It's an OEM card that is roughly as powerful as an old 8800GT. Also the 9500GT is too weak for a Physx card and is actually hurting performance if anything.

To make best use of that SSD you should have Windows and your programs and games on it.

So basically the only part of your computer suited for good gaming is the 8GB of RAM.

The gpu isn't oem the CPU is plenty and a 7200 rpm hard drive is plenty for Bf3 and other games
Don't hate on amd cpus they are plenty to run any game

Ok revised the CPU is weak compared to other modern CPUs in the same price range for gaming. I don't hate AMD at all I just hate Bulldozer and it's failed IPC. There is a reason the 8120 is tiered down with the Athlon and Core2 chips.

As per the Nvidia website that GPU is OEM only and still only as good as an 8800GT.

The 9500GT is still way to weak to use as a Physx card and is hurting performance.

The best way to utilize an SSD is having Windows, programs and games on the SSD. Especially with a 120GB SSD. It's not like you have a 64GB boot only drive. I have Windows 7 Ultimate X64, Office 2007 and other programs and 10 Steam games on my 120GB SSD and still have 30GB free. All you have to do is uninstall games you are not playing right then to make room for new games.

You asked why your gaming performance sucks. I just answered you honestly.

Edit: Oh wait there is an even worse DDR3 version of the GT545 that is not OEM.....my bad you actually bought that card. The OEM version is better. Not much better but a little.

Have you considered that for gaming you don't need that much of a performance difference?
I have a core i7 740m in my laptop and it performs worse in games than my 8120 and anyways is 34% cpu usage any different than 40? (bf3)
my hdds perform perfectly fine for what i use them for I dont need to have my games load in 5 secs 10-15 secs wont kill me

also this is my first build and im only 15 you can't expect someone my age to have allot of money especially since I can't find any jobs so this summer ill be connecting to my Latino side and mow some lawns to make some extra money, even with that i probably won't be able to make enough money to buy a 670 or a 660 after i buy my new case
