I'm currently using a 2700k/Asus Sabretooth as my virtual machine platform who runs 5x VM's each running an instance of EVE Online to multibox. Each individual instance is operating around 5ish FPS, and is "Okay" as far as smoothness goes.
I'm wondering if any of the newer CPU's (Ivy Bridge) out have made any leaps and bounds with running virtual machines and graphics within.
I'm building another machine regardless and it seems the 2700k is still a top dog when it comes to gaming, so swapping hardware would be painless if the gain is even mediocre.
(If you happen to know, are there any progress with discrete Graphics cards as well? Any able to share the load of the virtual machines?)
