I have a Sony 32in WEGA (KV-32FS200) and its not a HDtv or anything but was wondering if it had 480p support. I realize it doesnt have 720p/1080p or whatever resolutions because those are definetly HDTV resolutions.. but I dont know about 480p.. I assume my tv would be capable of 480p but it doesnt do any progressive scanning.

Reason being is I have an xbox and it doesnt do 480p, but I was wondering if that even mattered unless you had a HDTV..
I thought 480p was a hdtv res. and the highest that most dvds are produced in.

No. The KV-32FS200 is not capable of displaying 480p. 480p requires a High Definition television or at least a lower level SDTV digital TV with a wide band video amplifier for optimum performance.

If your TV can't do progressive scanning then it can't do 480p. The "p" means progressive scan.
