I installed a used 2 gig Gefore card into my mobo to upgrade from a 1 gig. The system started to freeze. (Windows7). I put the old card back in now I get a studder during the only game I play (World of Tanks). I purchased a New Gefore card to eliminate the issue but it still persists. Also reloaded Windows. Could my mobo be fried? Please help.

If you didn't have the issue before, look at other things that have changed, like your drivers for one.

The chance of a bad GPU damaging other components is possible but unlikely unless it's a severe problem regarding voltage, static, or shorts on the board.
