Pretty straight forward question, which is better and why?

Obviously the 7970 is better because it's a faster single GPU card. It has more Stream Processors, runs at higher clocks, has more RAM and the same memory interface not to mention the memory bandwith is 30% higher. It uses a more efficient graphics processing technology as well resulting in less heat and more efficiency.

It is about 30% more expensive as well.

And not to mention how well the 7970 overclocks, you can increase the performance by up to 25%, and even more if you get a good chip
