Right now I'm running the stock cooler on my FX, the problem is that when it hits 60%+ it has a horrible... HORRIBLE buzzing sound that can be heard from another room. I can't find any specs on the cooler anywhere. I'm going to replace it but I want to know what the stocks baseline is beforehand. Anyone have any input on this at all?

Your CPU is a socket AM3+ and you can use an AM3+ compatible fan and heatsink. You can even use an AM2,AM3 as they are the same. This is what i use on my AMD FX-4100 and i have it overclocked to 4ghz.

Another good option would be

You can read some user reviews on that website or maybe google for an option. The stock coolers are usually not the best especially if you plan on overclocking at some point which is easy for the FX as they are unlocked but you should do some reading on the subject if you plan to do so as overclocking too much can cause damage to your cpu. I hope this helps you:)

I know what socket it is, I was looking for fan specifics... Because my CPU sits next to my RAM I can't fit any larger of a fan in this spot, ultimatley I'm stuck with a smaller CPU cooling solution. I'm looking for the fan specifics such as noise output or air output so that I can either find a fan that's quiter while maxing out or find a fan that is more productive at lower RPMs. And since I mentioned placement my MOBO is the gigabyte gigabyte GA-990 FXA-UD3.

EDIT: For all Gigabyte UD3 user that want to use a non stock cooler with all 4 memory modules taken, here is a good one; GeminII S524.
