Hi folks, hope this is not too boring of a question

I have a sweet I7 self build running Win 7 pro but my wife hates it, she won't give up her 11 year old Dell 32bit XP Pro. The mobo is probably going to die of old age pretty soon. It's even running an SSD as boot disk.

I want to build her a PC for WEB, light gaming, OExpress and word/excel use (using the original XP pro install disk) without spending a lot or buying any SFWR.

My initial thoughts are an 1155 socket
$100. ASUS P8H67-M PRO/CSM LGA 1155 Corporate Stable Model Intel H67 DDR3 1333 Micro ATX Motherboard
$95. Intel Core i3-2120 Processor 3.3 GHz 3MB Cache
$55. Evga GeForce GT 430 1024 MB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI/HDMI/VGA Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1430-LR
$35 Corsair

Already have PSU, HDD's, Case even a spare Intel SSD.

Any advice on this idea ?

Would greatly appreciate any time you could waste on this

Lou M.

If that's all its being used for you should save a bit and downgrade to the i3-2100. Its not a huge change in price and performance, but what you have already chosen seems like it would work just fine.

From what youve chosen it seems like not a half bad setup even for light gaming i think that would be a perfectly alright setup, because if you wanto use the pc you want something with half some grunt good choices
