I7 2700k safe temp?

What's a good safe temperature for the I7 2700K? using a program similar to prime 95 I got max to 69c. Is this alright?

  1. that is quite alright, most processors are safe up to at the very least 85c, with most being able to handle in excess of that, highest ive seen a processors max temp at is 103c. id check the intel websites specifications on your processor to check the max temperatures listed by them so you know when you need to start to worry.

    69c on a Sandy Bridge is fine. I wouldn't let it get into the 80's on a Sandy, so low-mid 70's should be your max.
