Hi all, I'm hoping for a little direction. I'm trying to run some digital signs off of one computer on the cheap. We had a guy build us a computer with 5 NVIDIA cards and we had several issues. I found a cheap HP and installed 4 cards in it and we're having similar issues. Some of the issues we are having are:

1) Of 4 cards, only 3 work
2) Only DVI output works. HDMI output will not work. Windows OS shows unused ports even though a display is connected.
3) NVIDIA display driver crashes repeatedly.

Setup we tried recently consisted of:
1 PCI Express 2.0 EVGA GeForce 8400
1 PNY PCI GeForce 8400
2 Zotac PCI Expressx1 GeForce GT520

Should a computer be able to display 8 screens with this setup? Should we try ATI? Any idea why this might be happening?

Do you know what your motherboard is? It would have to guess it is a mobo issue, it may only have 3 way SLI support, or the cards used may not be compatible while in use in the same machine.
