Can I swap Motherboards?

I have a HP AMD Duron 900mhz at the moment and i brought a new processor and motherboard bundle which is a intel celeron 2GHZ and didnt relise i had a AMD Duron motherboard and procsseor and i was wondering if i could put my new one in my pc i have or does it have to be a AMD?

As long as you have a MB/cpu combo then you should be OK. The power supply might be a tad small for your new setup, but if you are only swapping the board/cpu and everything else is remaining the same then it will probably be OK.

The rest of your components won't care what type of cpu/mb you have but windows might not like it... you will probably have to do a fresh install of windows. The mb is different so some of the connections to the case for power, reset, usb... etc may differ but the components will plug in the same (dvd/cd drive, hard drive, floppy drive, ram...)

Just follow the instructions in the mb manual and the case manual (if you still have it) and you should be fine.
