Why does my computer keep shutting down when i play games

My PC is shutting down when i play games ...otherwise is works well when i listen 2 songs or watch movies... but the moment i start a game it runs for a while before shutting down.. My system Config is=



Processor= Amd Phenom II 945

Ram=6 GB(DDR3)

Graphics Card= Nvidia GeForce GT 240

SMPS= 220 V


Please Help me resolve this Issue...

It's your video card that card just cannot handly anything close to recent. It is about even with a 9600Gt. Time for an upgrade.

mine is like this whenever i do anything else it is fine i dont no what to do to sort the problem
