Hi, is this 80plus certified?

I recently brought a system and paid extra for a 500W corsair 80plus psu, but when it came with this psu I googled it and the coolermaster website says it delivers 86-88% under load, but that doesn't mean 100%...

Also is this generally a cheaper/crapper psu than the corsair cx500?

It is not 80+ certified and is definitely less expensive and lower quality than the CX500. I would force the retailer to replace that POS.

thanks. so ridiculous that when you speak on the phone and have paid extra they still try and pull a fast one, he is still telling me it is a better psu but it agreeing to the replacement. i thought it would be easier buying pre built... biggest mistake ever

It may have a higher wattage rating, but that doesn't mean that it's a better quality PSU or even comparable.
