Critique/Feedback my $1500 Gaming Build.

After my first thread where I got told off for being an idiot, I'v come back with some new specs for my build. Feel free to smash it to pieces, again.
NOTE: Australian prices here, so isn't as cheap like the stuff on Newegg or Amazon. These prices include GST.

Approximate Purchase Date: Early July

Budget Range: $1500 (lower is better)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, General use, Infrequent video rendering

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, optical drive (though I am looking for a good 1920x1080 secondary monitor, some advice here would be good. Separate from this budget)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: MSY , PC Case Gear , Other Melbourne based retailers.

Country: Victoria, Australia

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, AMD GPU (willing to budge on this). I would prefer a Full Tower case for longevity, basically it will never be replaced because it will fit anything I could throw at it.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Future upgrade

Monitor Resolution: Primary: 1920x1080, Secondary: 1440x900 (This is what will be replaced, games are only run on the primary)

Additional Comments: Emphasis on longevity with only core upgrades (GPU, CPU, Mobo). Also would be good if it looked great as well (hence the LED strips and Fans). Not sure if the Crucial M4 64Gb is worth $10 more than an OCZ Vertex 3 60Gb. The non-stock fans are needed as I'm going to transfer the stock ones onto another PC. Vast storage space isn't a requirement as I'm already having trouble filling the TB HDD I'v got in my current machine.

What I am currently planning on.
NOTE: Some of the prices are from my local store and aren't what the link would otherwise say.

CPU
i5 2500k
$215

GPU
Sapphire Radeon HD7850 2Gb OC
$255

HDD
Seagate Barracuda 1Tb 7200RPM
$99

SSD
Crucial M4 64gb
$99

RAM
Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1600Mhz (2x4Gb)
$65

PSU
Thermaltake Toughpower XT 775W
$135

Motherboard
AsRock Z77 Extreme4
$150

Case
Coolermaster HAF-X
$199

Optical Drive
Sony AD7200S
Salvaged from previous PC

Fan Controller
NZXT Sentry Mix
$55

LED Strips X2
Bitfenix Alchemy 12cm RED
$28

CPU Cooler
Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO
$39

200mm Fan X2
Coolermaster Megaflow 200 Red LED
$38

140mm Fan
Bitfenix Spectre Pro Red LED
$19

120mm CPU Fan
Coolermaster Silent Blue LED
$15

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM
$90

Adds up to $1502. So on the tip of my budget.
Anything glaringly wrong? Any feedback is appreciated.

No need for extra fans; the HAF X comes with great ones. Just get the CM Fans for the EVO.

vengenace ram might not fit under the hyper 212. might want to get low profile ones. iwould suggest to check first though. also, the antec p280 is also a great full tower case

All looking pretty good. I would change out that PSU to this one:

Silverstone Strider Plus 750W ST75F-P
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

It's fully modular and Silver rated (bonus).

I'd leave those extra fans, your paying for fans that come with the HAFX, and with the saved money grab a 120gb SSD:

Recently setup a mate with a 60GB SSD and here's the scenario. OS = approx 20GB, BF3 =approx 20GB, Batman: AC = approx 20 GB. AND he's tapped out! Not trying to waste your money but if you can stretch to a 120GB....

Do you really need that giant case? You could save $100 and get something like:

CM Storm Enforcer
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

And then go up a GPU level:

For me it's about what is happening on the screen, not what is sitting on your desk :)

I'd say get a gtx 580 over a 7870. I saw a gigabyte one on newegg for 380$. It will come in handy for the infrequent video rendering and it is a tad better than the 7870. Although the 7870 is a great card too.

Nice find with the PSU, thanks. Though the lack of a power switch may be annoying.

The extra case fans are needed as Im taking the stock ones out for another computer, and even if I didn't get them its not enough to jump up to a 128Gb SSD.
I also don't intend to put games on it, just the OS, Drivers and some core programs like Office and Chrome.

Also on the SSD, I'v found a OCZ Vertex 3 60Gb for $78. So a significant difference in price with the Crucial M4. From what I understand there is little that separates these Drives. Just wondering if I should get that based on the saving.

I may not need the giant case but I definitely want it, if only for features like the case window, rubber grommets, PSU cable partition and awesome looks. Plus the benefit described at the top of longevity, If I get the HAF-X, I probably will never need another case.
