Nvidia gt 440 graphics card problem how do i fix?

Hi i own a windows 7 home premium processor: Intel(r) core(TM) 2quad CPU q8300 @ 2.50 GHz whenever i play a game like (battlefield bad company 2) after like 10 minutes the whole computer freezes up or on other games like (call of duty world at war) the screen just goes black for about 6 seconds any help would be appreciated thanks oh and i'm not looking to spend any money.

Download HWMonitor from www.cpuid.com and check the temperatures (take a picture if you don't know what to look at) and post the results here. Make sure to check them when the freezes happen, not just any time.
