Screen blinks and vid crashes

Hello,

I have a NVidia GTX 560 Ti from Gainward. Been running since Sept 2011.

The problem started today. Every now and then the monitor screen blinks for a few seconds and everything that is using the GPU crashes.

I've updated the driver to the latest from NVidia. Still the problem is not going away. I also noticed that Temperature of the GPU jumps from 30' to 45' when that happen.

I am hoping it is not a hardware problem but if you anyone knows of any know issue on this card, please let me know.

does this happens only during gaming or on desktop too?

Its probably a hardware problem either way. You can try a complete removal of drivers and reinstalling them and see if it works tho.

Thanks for the reply.
It is now happening whenever an application access the GPU. So, it happens when I play movies or any games. It was also happening with Youtube but YouTube works when I disabled Hardware acceleration.

So, you may just have confirmed my suspicion.
It is still under warranty so I will take it back to the supplier.

PS. Removing and reinstalling from scratch was also done.

Yea, you would need to RMA it. Looks like its dying.
