Build Check and Motherboard?

Hi, I'm building a midtower but am admittedly new to it so I wanted to get my components checked out first. They are:

Case - NZXT Phantom 410
CPU - Intel Core i5 2500 (I doubt I'll need the K series)
GPU - Radeon HD XFX 6950
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8gb DDR3-1600 kit
PSU - Corsair Builder Series CX600
Hard Drive - WD 1TB 3.5" SATA-III Caviar Blue 7200RPM 32Mb cache
Motherboard - ???

I maybe don't need a 1TB drive right now but I couldn't resist. I don't know anything about motherboards so I'm not sure what to look for on it although common complaint that I'm seeing is that some models don't have enough connections to case fans.

Any advice or changes to my components are welcome although the case and PSU have already been bought so I will likely not be changing them.

Thank you. Kyle, UK

I use my computers for gaming (eg. Mass Effect 3, Sykrim, Portal 2 etc) and I watch almost all of my TV on it. I would also appreciate any advice on monitors in the <£200 range. I'm not really interested in 3D and I don't think that I will be needing overclocking. I don't have a set budget but hopefully you can see by my component choices so far, the price range that I am looking at.

i recommend getting a ivy bridge chip because they are faster. since you are not overclocking it makes sense. but then a k part is only 20 bucks more and you get some future proofing plus yu get some better integrated raphics

2: i recommend getting something new such as a 7850 or a gtx 670 graphics carrd. it has more performance

3: i recommend a better power supply. a corsiar tx550 or 650 is better.

4: i recommend getting a seagate baracuda 1tb with 64mb of cache hard drive. its faster and isnt that much more

5: a asus ve247h is a great 1080p monitor for under 200$ in canada or us. dont now for sure in uk
