Need to upgrade to play Diablo 3

Hello,

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: I would like to buy it asap so I have plenty of time to install and ensure that I can return if necessary. I would like to keep it from $100-$150. If it's possible to get a card/power supply cheeper then that's cool too. I know I will need to upgrade power supply, and want to incorporate that into budget.

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: As the title says I want it for Diablo 3 but I also play WOW.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: I currently have an integrated nVidia GeForce 6150SE with Internal 220W

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: HP 5737 Slimline with AMD Athlon II X2 250 processor. 3GB of memory. 1 PCI Express x16 slot, 2 PCI Express x1 slots, 1 PCI slot

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I dont really have a preference but I have been using Newegg for my pricing.

I'm really just looking for the best card I can get for the price. The Min. requirements for D3 are NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro or better. With a suggested NVIDIA® GeForce® 260 or ATI Radeon™ HD 4870 or better. I hope that's enough information and any help I get is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That PSU is more or less junk. He also has a slim case so that GPU won't fit. This is the best low profile card I saw.

Card is around $100 before rebates, he should be able to get the Antec 380 green for $50 or the Corsair 430 for $37 after rebates.

I'd take the Antec as I think it has an extra amp on the 12v rail over the Corsair. It's also more efficient.

I'm not sure if the HP's slimline case would fit them in.
Are you going to change the setup entirely?

Problem is that 6670 isn't as powerful as the 4870. It's simply the most powerful half height card I saw on newegg. I didn't check your case so if you need a different sized PSU the ones I linked won't fit.

Yeah, I saw the slimline case, so a regular PSU just wouldn't fit in. The card 4745454b listed would work.

I think a TFX PSU should fit in properly.

I actually got lucky and newegg ended up auto cancelling my order due to an error on their end. So all is well and thank you again for all the help. I will place my new order . . . soon.

You should get a TFX PSU to fit in your case. If it's a regular PSU, then you'd have to place it outside the case.
