Which thermal compound?

I just got a new cooler for my case, the cooler master hyper tx3. I comes with a cooler master thermal compound. I have another compound in my house.

Should I use the one that came with the fan or the arctic cooler compound?

Both are good, not that much difference as it all depends on the end users. I see more people using arctic cooler though.

I just finished a small experiment with MX-4 compared to Arctic Silver 5 on a PhIIX4 965BE and a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 cooler. No matter how I applied the MX-4... small dot, line, even spread... I could not get the temps as low as when using the AS5 thermal compound in its recommended method. I know this doesn't answer your question, but you may want to give the stock thermal compound a try before you remove it for the MX-4.
