GTX 590 confused!

So let me get this straight , I have a gtx 570 which is a fairly new GPU....
Then they release the gtx 590 which is double faster and better then the 570? .
That dosen't make any sense that means by next year my GPU will be terribly out-dated..
I'm going to go cry in a corner![:(]( ":(")
