Brand new computer with apps loaded

Hello,
I bought a brand new computer Aug 2012 and noted when started some apps were already present, e.g the ebay app was loaded in 2009! Could this have been a refurbished computer (or returned) being passed on as brand new.

i would be a little suspicious as the ebay app has nothing to do with the computer i would maybe expect things like recycle bin,core temp,computer, maybe even game booster if gaming pc but NOT ebay check with your supplier and ask

also check and see if anything else is there which has nothing to do with your computer i would not worry too much though

a lot of big box shifters pre-install apps on machines as they make money through companies for it. What PC was it? where are you getting the date from?

This, they all put crapware on them for the money, I wouldn't be that worried about it, just make sure that you run your anti-virus, if it runs alright and looks new whats the deal, also on mine in the programs and whatever, it use to say that install date was 2006 even though my lappy was only manufactured in 2008 or 2009, their should be a sticker telling you on your PC somewhere.
