First time builder, Budget: $800

Hello! I'm new to building, but I'm planning to build a new computer since my last laptop blew up. I'm going to be mostly using it for gaming with minor surfing the web and if needed school related work. I have a basic build of what I want, but I'm not too savvy on whether it is good =\

Approximate Purchase Date: pretty soon

Budget Range: 800, I prefer not to do mail-in rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important:Gaming, other things

Parts Not Required: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, Fry's electronics

Country: California

Parts Preferences: none

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Additional Comments: Thank you for those that help me!

More about first time builder budget
  1. no point getting a "K" processor on an H77 motherboard . The 3550 is probably a better choice for you

the power supply is cheap junk . Only buy 80+ bronze rated psu's or better . Anything with a small voltage switch on the back is not suitable
  2. you havn't listed a hdd, if you can find room in your budget I would recommend a ssd for gaming depending how much data you need to store
